Waterdrops - Part 1

Trying to find something to post, I came across these photographs which I took a while back. The first two are of the crystals formed on the grass hairs early on a winters morning.....

These were taken after the rain. The little cups where the petals fell out are filled with water.
The reflections of the trees behind me.
This is the prettiest weed with its pink color. I took this after a storm too.

Joan what lovely pictures. Water is one of the prettiest things in nature, that is of course when it is not angry! Diane

Super drop shots. I did one myself the other day, but I think the best ones are taken early in the morning with lots of dew around.

Ciao Joan, beautiful series of photos the first two are a discovery for me.
Have a good day

Thanks Philip. I have always taken these kinds of pics but most often they do not come out very nice. :)

Thanks DIane. I love the sound of water too but you are right, it can be a powerful, destructive force sometimes.

Thanks Jonker. The first two were taken early in the morning just after the sun came out and it had not had time to melt it yet. Needless to say I was freezing my butt off too. :)

Thanks Sciarada. Those two pictures did come out very nice.

I love the droplets Joan...I had the strangest experience. There has been a lady beetle in the laundry room since last winter. Today I went in there and it flew on to my arm so I took it outside and away it flew..Maybe it needed the ride....

SAPhotographs (Joan) said...

Thanks Craig. It is an interesting subject but not easy to get pictures of. :)

Thanks Craver. I hate the cold but was pleased I braved it to get those photos. :)

Thanks Becky. I particularly liked the one on the pinkish weed. The color gave it a nice texture.

Thanks Gaelyn. Everything always smell so fresh and clean after a storm.

LOL!! No Michelle, it was just not sure which was the door was. :) I have one that is wintering inside on my wall and expect it to take off soon too as it is getting warmer. :)

Up north where you live - the water freezes not like our sunny tropical southern climates :)

Great photographs! Yet another topic for me to explore!

SAPhotographs (Joan) said...

Thanks Birdy. They are the kind of pictures I have always been interested in taking but never get around to. :)

SAPhotographs (Joan) said...

Thanks Tom. I have been collecying them for a while now but somehow never got to post. :)

It does not do that where I live either Zane. Pretoria is divided by a small mountain range and you get frost on the other side of it opposite to me. :) My side is sub-tropcal too thank goodness. :)
