An unknown fruit/seedpod growing on a vine which was quite pretty.

I wonder if birds eat them?

A Two-spotted Ground Beetle (How original!! LOL!!) Rather large (about 2 inches).

It played dead for me so that I could get a picture of the underside.

Still early, the buffalo herds are laying around until it gets time to wander off to find food. There were quite a few youngsters with these as you can see if you enlarge the photograph by clicking on it. This herd must have been about 200 strong.

I am absolutly useless with snakes so maybe someone like Philip can identify it for me. This one was about a foot in length.

Very often snakes are killed on the roads as they go across when a car goes by and you cannot see it. These road-kills do not stay there for very long as the raptors soon spot them and have an easily obtained meal. This one was about 2 feet long - again unknown species.
The rains have brought out the millipedes too and there are thousands on the roads as you drive.
